At 12 years of age my dad started taking me to work with him as a siding apprentice, teaching me the tricks of the trade.  Years later, in 2013 I came to Boise, Idaho and began working as a Siding Installation Technician.  During my 10 years in this field, for this one company, I had the opportunity to work on some truly amazing homes across the valley.  I was always drawn to the more detailed work, and found myself jealous of the guys and gals who got to work on those parts of the homes that really were just pieces of art.  After Covid, and maybe just me getting older, I began to reflect on what kind of legacy I would be leaving for my family.  When my kids face adversity in their lives, I want them to remember me and think to themselves, "Dad found a way to make something happen, and I can too".  And so I took a leap of faith and began JRL Woodworks LLC.  This company is the way I make my living.  This company is a job and something I like to take vacations from.  But above all, this company is my legacy to my children.
